Description:

This small painting was part of a series I painted in preparation for a large painting of sunflowers. I found these sunflowers growing in a tiny garden spot along the walkway in an apartment complex. Their bright color contrasted with the deep shade of the garage behind them. I like this painting so much that I may paint a larger painting using these same contrasting colors.
