Description:
Dramatic color contrasts enhance ballet like pose of petals and leaves of this sunflower painting, Sunflower Ballet. My garden sunflowers amaze me with their variations. This one was especially fun to paint to show the dimensionality of this flower with petals going in all directions.
Background is dark, not black. Slight nuances of color may not appear on a monitor screen. I did not use black paint. I mixed blues, greens, purple and red to achieve the black color.
This 8 x 10 inch acrylic on canvas, gallery - wrap painting
is ready to hang. No frame necessary. The image is painted on to the sides of the wrapped canvas.
