Description:
The irises I used for the original painting came from a neighbor's garden. The contrast in the purple and white colors always catches my eye. The colors are so rich and colorful. Matching the purples of the flowers in paint is always a challenge because I tend to use only three primary colors: yellow, red, and blue (a cool and a warm tone for each) plus white. What creative fun!
I entitled the painting "Duet in Purple". Why the title? I love purple. I love music. I've played the piano music for "Deep Purple"!
